The Murder Archives is an independent editorial project from Signal Wave Media. We publish sourced histories of significant murder investigations for readers seeking evidence and context rather than mythology.
Source hierarchy
We prefer court material, public inquiries, government and law-enforcement records, then established reference works. A dossier’s source link is a starting point, not a claim that one page answers every question.
Evidence labels
Convictions, confirmed victims, official findings, offender claims, and disputed attributions are different categories. We name the category and leave uncertainty visible instead of combining every claim into a dramatic total.
Victims first
Real people and families sit behind every case. We avoid graphic imagery, trophies, rankings, admiring language, speculative diagnosis, and unnecessary private details. “Famous” means widely documented—not celebrated.
Corrections
When a credible source establishes an error, we correct the record. A future revision log will document substantive changes. Readers can submit supporting material through our protected corrections form.
Publication responsibility
This archive is educational and historical. It is not a tip line, investigative agency, clinical resource, or substitute for court records. Allegations about living people are not accepted for publication through the community form.
Mature content notice
The archive is intended for adults.
This site documents real murders, mass violence, abuse, and other disturbing events. It does not require or collect your date of birth.
